We’ve been hard at work over the past 7 years designing learning environments, creating curricula, teaching students and parents, and trying to bring our vision of a new way of learning to life. Why Valearnis?
We're not just developing an educational ecosystem, we're actively researching and developing innovative ways to help students learn. Our initial creation was a virtual Socratic tutor, allowing students to grasp complex topics in a manner that resulted in greater and deeper understanding, equipping them with the tools to arrive there themselves.
Beyond this, as you can see below, there is an image of what may seem like a cluster of neurons. It's actually something our R&D team has actively been working on; mapping out the ‘brain’ of each curriculum area and subject.
What does it mean to ‘understand’ Ancient History or Physics? How does that understanding map itself within a child's mind? How can we ascertain if a student actually absorbed the knowledge they were engaging with?
Our team has active AI researchers from the University of Pavia in collaboration with team members attending Curtin University; every new development from our R&D team gets applied to Valearnis in real time, to ensure students always receive the cutting edge of education.
Chief Executive Officer
Samreid Manez
An edtech founder based in Perth for over 8 years, Samreid has always strived to revolutionise education, to inspire a new generation of capable, intellectual, problem solving, critical thinkers.
A son of two teachers, Samreid initially graduated with a degree in Geology from Curtin University. Yet after graduation, he soon realised that his passion was indeed following in the footsteps of his parents; education. He went on to gain qualifications in educational design, history, and computer science from institutions such as the University of Illinois, and Waseda University.
Through a long startup career, Samreid has forever aimed to equitise and improve education, for all. Yet he couldn't have brought Valearnis to you, the dear customer, if it were not for a team of capable, innovative, intellectual superstars that supported the dream along the way.

Valearnis, based in Perth, Western Australia, is an EdTech-AI startup comprised of a passionate and intuitive team of innovators. Founded by Samreid Manez, our team is comprised of AI engineers, full-stack developers, data engineers, educators, animators, artists, and marketers all working hard to redefine education.
Project Socrates
The next step in Valearnis’ journey. How do we create artificial intelligence systems that effectively guide students to the answer, safely, securely, and privately? How do we ensure these systems result in better critical thinkers, problem solvers, and well rounded learners? These are the guiding questions behind our next endeavour, Project Socrates.

Iterative lessons
All of our Australian curriculum-friendly lessons are designed around bite-sized topics to ensure that students understand every aspect of a subject before moving forward.
Mastery-based learning
Mastery-based learning ensures that everyone fully understands the topic, instead of ranking students in a bell curve. We’re bridging the gap from what is taught in universities to what is actually provided to students.
Gameful learning
Incorporating experience points, character progression, and customization to cement relatability, intrinsic motivation, and personification.
On-demand reporting
Our platform allows students and educators to view their progress and results in real-time. Formative assessment allows students to take charge of their learning and determine their own outcomes.
Team-based competition
Instead of individual competition that leaves most behind, we’ve designed a system wherein students join different houses and compete against the others in a friendly and constructive manner. This system ensures that students of all abilities are engaged and supported.
